When you think “summer internship,” your mind probably goes to coffee runs, endless note-taking, and one-off tasks that don’t go anywhere. GeorgiaJane Wade’s experience was the opposite — and exactly what we aim to create for every intern who walks through our (real or virtual) door.
This summer, GeorgiaJane joined Point Source Marketing as our marketing intern, heading into her senior year at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, MO. What started as an internship quickly turned into a portfolio-building experience filled with real-world marketing strategy, client work, and team collaboration. And now, she’s staying on as a part-time contractor.
Here’s what she had to say about her time with us — and what’s next.

Real Work. Real Clients. Real Impact.
GeorgiaJane didn’t come to Point Source Marketing for a participation trophy — she came to learn. And she got right to work. Within weeks, she had ownership of a social media marketing campaign for a real client and took the reins on editing a yearlong HubSpot email sequence for The Cottage, one of our hospitality clients.
Through hands-on projects and job shadowing with our partners, she quickly saw how SEO, email, and social media marketing connect to drive tangible results. She even rolled up her sleeves to test our proprietary AI transformer and discovered a love for workflow systems that sync strategy with execution.
“My biggest aha moment? Seeing how something as simple as changing a subject line or CTA can shift user behavior. That was a game-changer.”
Learning That Goes Beyond the Classroom
A straight-A student with a head start on her marketing future, GeorgiaJane brought strong curiosity to the table — and left with certifications in Digital Marketing and Social Media Marketing from HubSpot. She also learned what the textbooks don’t cover:
-
How SEO edits can improve site performance (and why site speed matters)
-
The power of networking through BNI and how it landed her first social media client
-
How to use Asana and HubSpot together for efficient project management
-
Why email marketing strategy is all about the details
“School gave me theory. Point Source Marketing gave me the application — and confidence.”
Team Vibes: Collaborative, Driven, Growth-Oriented
When asked to describe the Point Source Marketing team in three words, GeorgiaJane chose: collaborative, growth-oriented, and driven. We’ll take it.
“Every partner brings something different to the table. And together, the team makes magic happen — for clients and for each other.”

What’s Next for GeorgiaJane?
While many internships wrap up with a wave and a goodbye email, this one ends with a welcome packet. GeorgiaJane will stay on the team as a part-time contractor, continuing her work in email marketing and social media while she finishes her senior year and prepares to study marketing in college.
She also plans to bring her experience into her upcoming DECA state competition — and we’re betting she’ll crush it.
